The Cactus BlossomsWe wanted to bring you an uplifting track for this week's Synch Song of the Week, which is why we are so excited about The Cactus Blossoms, and their song "Stoplight Kisses". The sweet, smooth harmonies of this brother duo are reminiscent of laid-back, vintage '50s or '60s folk/country music.

Page Bunkum and Jack Torrey are the dusty voices behind the slightly reverberated guitars, soft timbering drums, and rhythmic upright base. While these brothers are deeply inspired by the Everly Brothers, instead of directly depicting what has already been successful, their prolific lyrics and catchy melodies prove to be authentic music for Torrey and Burkum.

The Cactus Blossoms have toured with Kacey Musgraves and Pokey LaFarge, and have also appeard on the public radio show A Prairie Home Companion. Five years after the talented duo first began playing out together, they struck a deal with Red House Records, a well-respected St. Paul, Minnesota-based roots music label; a perfect fit for the Minneapolis, Minnesota natives.

We sure hope that this song brings a smile to your face, the way it did for us. We think that it speaks for itself in terms of visual pairing. We can see "Stoplight Kisses" in an indie film, placed against a "long-live-love" sort of scene. Something that shows the precious acts of a simple love that runs deep. And of course, colored softly to match the vibe, through a vintage sepia-toned lens.

The Cactus Blossoms are currently on tour, so make sure to visit their personal page to find out if they are coming to a venue near you. To follow them for the latest updates, check out their social media page. And of course, be sure to listen to "Stoplight Kisses" below!
