The biggest confab in music supervision is right around the corner. For the first time, it's a full-day event, with the GMS Conference 2018 taking places Saturday, September 15th from 9 AM-10 PM at the University of Southern California.
Presented by the esteemed non-profit the Guild of Music Supervisors in collaboration with the USC Thornton School of Music Industry Program, GMS Con 2018 is an essential music business event. Attendees will have myriad opportunities to learn from and network with: music supervisors, composers, music publishers, record labels, production libraries, music attorneys, recording artists, artist managers, film and television producers and directors, music editors, entertainment educators, and studio and network executives.
After a morning keynote address, GMS Con 2018 will offer a rush of information. 28 panels, lectures and AV presentations will be spread across six locations. Across the board, the emphasis will be on music in film, TV, advertising, games, promos and trailers. Confirmed appearances include Jim James (My Morning Jacket) live performance, the music team from Black Panther, a Prince “Purple Rain” retrospective, the legacy of composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, music supervisors Alex Patsavas, John Houlihan, Manish Raval, Frankie Pine, Julianne Jordan, Julia Michels, Steven Gizicki, and many more. Visit here for the full schedule.
PLUS, through the end of September 3rd, there is a Labor Day Weekend Special for 15% off general admission. Enter LABORDAY15GA for the discount, when you register here.
