Glenn Gould Publishing, Master Royalties Acquired by Primary Wave

Posted by

When M&A meets music publishing, it's hip to be...hip. Just ask Primary Wave Music Publishing, which has acquired the music rights to one of the most innovative pianists of the 20th Century, Glenn Gould.

As one of the largest independent music publishers in the US, and already in possession of 15,000+ songs from the likes of Kurt Cobain, John Lennon, Def Leppard, and many more, Primary Wave would appear to have the right stuff for maximizing Gould.

Will this mean more synchs with Gould's epic interpretations of Bach's "Goldberg Variations"? Somewhere, a music supervisor's mouth is watering. Get deeper details on the acquisition via Karen Bliss' article in Billboard.
