Music got it's due, and then some, in the nominations for the 2017 Emmy Awards. In addition to the usual sonic categories of musical composition, musical direction, original music and lyrics, and theme music, the recognition of music supervision made it's long overdue debut.
Congratulations to the Television Academy for filling that void, and to all the nominees who worked incredibly hard to distinguish themselves in a field that's more crowded than ever. We at MusicSupervision101 are especially proud to note that "Music Supervision" nominee Thomas Golubić is profiled in the new 2nd edition of the "Music Superivsion" textbook.
This year's ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 17th at 8 PM Eastern on CBS. The full list of music-related nominees follows -- to see all nominees visit Variety.
