Like us, you’re probably gearing up to settle in for the colder season, which generally also means preparing our bodies for the overload of calories and extra “hibernation weight” —at least that’s what we tell ourselves — because we, as a culture, are fond of the finer (and often fattier) things in life.  We think of this season as a time to celebrate and indulge, with the typical yo-yo mindset that we’ll worry about working it off as summer approaches.

But…we realize that’s probably not the smartest approach to our health, and just in time for pumpkin spice lattes (packing nearly 400 calories), Joe Cross is back again with “Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead 2”!

In 2010 Joe Cross shared his journey from overweight and unhealthy to thin and happy with his award-winning “Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead.” In his first film, Joe documented his weight-loss struggle including plateaus, derailments, and successes with a 60-day juice fast. Now he’s back to show audiences how to maintain their now svelte physiques with tips on how to stay healthy in an unhealthy world.

What about the music? Just as any great film, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2 will boast a fantastic original score, but this time the score hails from our SongHunters friend and accomplished composer, Gary Meister, at Naturalistic Music & Sound.

The film will be showing for ONE NIGHT ONLY, and, like we said, just in time for Halloween Oreos, on September 18 at over 600 theaters nation-wide through FathomEvents. You can find it playing at a theater near you, and check out the trailer below!

Music supervision, or matching music to all the different mediums from films to ring tones, is one of the fastest-growing careers in the music industry, but finding the winning song for a national ad campaign or compiling a platinum movie soundtrack takes more than just good taste. Music supervision today requires serious multi-tasking and the ability to navigate licensing, relationships, and cultural trends with ease. This book guides you through real scenarios and legal landmines you might encounter; it explores sound design and profiles key players with insightful interviews, while providing project form templates that will save time for seasoned music supervisors.

This is the only guide to the career of music supervision and is ideal for the music student, musician, industry executive and of course, for those who want to break into the field of music supervision.
