Ninja Rap Reboot

Posted by

Are you as excited as we are about the upcoming reincarnation of the Ninja Turtles? Well, if the content alone wasn’t enough to pump you up, maybe the film’s essential “corny, catchy rap song” is.

The LA Times just reported that “Paramount Pictures and Atlantic Records” have announced “‘Shell Shocked,’ a new single from the ‘TMNT’ soundtrack” featuring Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla Sign, and Juicy J.

While the track is extremely current and incredibly commercial, its lyrics are family-friendly and Ninja Turtle appropriate. The star-loaded single could be the marketing push TMNT needs to blow opening weekend out of the water.

The film is slated to open August 8 in the US, but you can read more about the single here, check out the film trailer (and read more about the song) on EntertainmentWeekly and listen to  “Shell Shocked” below!
