Round Hill Music Signs Deal With Animal Years

Posted by

American Authors and Bloodgroup publishing group, Round Hill Music, have just announced the signing of a co-publishing deal with “indie roots rock” band, Animal Years.

The Brooklyn-based quartet lead by Mike McFadden’s “crisp vocals and magnetic poise” have just released a new record entitled “Sun Will Rise,” and claim that groups like the Avett Brothers, The Wallflowers, and Young The Giant inspired their indie-rock tunes.

Round Hill’s Sr. Creative Director, Mallory Zumbach said in a statement, “"We’re truly ecstatic to be welcoming Animal Years into the RHM family. Between Mike McFadden’s excellent songwriting prowess and the band’s stellar energy (they are not to be missed live), we have no doubt that these guys are going to go very far.”

Their album boasts a strong variety of content as well as “feel-good melodies, and smooth, ringing guitars” that “showcase the delicacy and introspection behind the songwriting and draws on the strengths of McFadden’s seasoned voice and multi-instrumental abilities.”

You can keep up with all of Round Hill’s news at or by following them on Twitter. Be sure to also check out Animal Years’ video for “Forget What They’re Telling You,” and follow their happenings on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
