Over the past few days we’ve heard social-media murmurings about this year’s Paris Sync Summit, taking place April 14-15. However, if that’s too short notice for you to catch the next redeye, they’re also hosting the annual Hollywood Summit later this year in June (5-6).
The Paris summit will open with what’s sure to be an impressive keynote presentation from music supervisor Mary Ramos and Summit chair Mark Frieser. The duo will explore “How music illuminates the narrative of motion pictures,” and include “a discussion of the placement process,” according to the event’s agenda.
It’s likely Ramos will also reference her extensive work with superstar auteur director, Quentin Tarantino, whose meticulous attention to musical accompaniment is now infamous in the industry.
The event will continue for two days with intimate Q&A presentations from some of the biggest names in music, music supervision, licensing, branding, television, film, and everything else. It will be covering emerging trends, issues, and growth in licensing for the entertainment industry and will provide invaluable insight to many at all levels of industry!
